Long time friends, the Willis and Goe families have been working the fertile soil in the Hood River Valley for generations. On these family farms, nestled below majestic Mount Hood, they grow fresh pears, cherries, apples and blueberries. From meager beginnings they have worked diligently for over 100 years and have expanded their operations to over 500 acres of fruit and berry varieties. Orchard owner, Mike Willis remembers the old days, when people would stop off at fruit stands along the road. They would pick up fresh fruit, take it home and let it ripen for a few days until it was ready-to-eat. Today, Pacific Northwest families can still visit orchards and fruit stands during harvest season to select orchard-fresh fruits, but many may not have the time in their busy schedules to do so.

And that's why Columbia Gorge Delights was founded - to fulfill a desire to produce nutritious Pacific Northwest fruit products that are convenient to eat, store and take on the go. Over 12 years ago, with the help of the United States Department of Agriculture, Columbia Gorge Delights developed JustFruit Bars, the first purely 100% fruit bar on the market.
